Land
Investors worldwide are turning to agricultural land as a form of stable, productive investment. From food to animal feed to biofuels, the increasing uses for arable land have led some to call it “the oil of the 21st century.”
Southern Saskatchewan is one of the most fertile agricultural areas in North America. If you have ever eaten pasta, the odds are that is was made from durum wheat grown in southern Saskatchewan. The region is also a major source of oil crops such as canola. It has recently become a dominant player in the world trade in pulse crops, such as beans, peas and lentils.
The Heartland lies at the middle of some of southern Saskatchewan’s most fertile land and has been identified as a potential future centre for biofuel production. The area offers many opportunities for affordably priced land investment.
