The Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) is Saskatchewan’s primary public institution for post-secondary technical education and skills training, recognized nationally and internationally for its expertise and innovation. More than 13,000 students are registered in SIAST programs, which touch every sector of the economy; additionally, the organization draws almost 32,000 individual course registrations.

SIAST’s Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw, SK offers programs in business, technology, industry and trades, hospitality and food services and engineering technology, as well as numerous continuing education courses. Instructors at SIAST possess extensive practical experience in their fields, and programs are developed in consultation with local business and industry. SIAST's programs are designed to prepare students for the work world through the integration of such experiential learning methods as co-operative programs, work placements and field study in addition to in-class theoretical instruction.

Briercrest College & Seminary is a trans-denominational Bible College, which is accredited by the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges (AABC).  The college offers one year certificate programs, 2 year diplomas and 3 or 4 year Bachelor of Arts degrees in many areas of study.  The primary mission of the college is to prepare students to impact the church and society and to think, value, live and serve in accord with biblical principles. The Gravelbourg Campus of Great Plains College supports the college's goal of providing Education with Energy through flexible counselling services, custom business training, and credit and non-credit programming for a large geographic territory serving 18 rural municipalities. The campus typically enrolls over 200 people per year.

Free academic counselling can assist students in post-secondary and career planning locally, or in transition to other Great Plains College campuses or other institutions. Great Plains College offers a generous scholarship program for students in its full-time programs (ranging to full tuition paid and including early entrance awards for Grade 11 students)  and student athletes can participate in competitive varsity volleyball and basketball programs.

Gravelbourg Campus assists those completing their basic education through GED preparation and testing, and plays a key role in the provision of English as a Second Language services to newcomers in the region. Great Plains College has also partnered with SEFFA in the provision of community-based programming such as Spanish language classes.

Gravelbourg Campus supports the specific labour development needs of the region through credit Office Administration certificate studies and the provision of professional development training relevant to many businesses, including First Aid and the STEC Service Best program. The college also specifically serves the Energy Sector through its Energy Training Centre (ETC), and a full suite of safety training can be provided throughout the college region. Staff make numerous business visits each year to understand and respond to the training needs of organizations in the area. Custom training classes are arranged specifically to business needs, providing schedule and location flexibility to the client.

Being able to pursue post secondary education close to home is one of the main advantages of attending the Assiniboia Campus of the Southeast Regional College.  Currently being offered is a 2 year Practical Nursing program.  Various University and SIAST classes are offered through SCN and online technologies.  SIAST part-time credit courses in Early Childhood Education, Continuing Care Assistant, and Heavy Equipment Operator are offered on a continual basis. Numerous safety related courses are scheduled and available on a regular basis through the Energy Training Institute, as business division of the Southeast Regional College.
